The best of Stowe House wedding photography
Steph and Will and their winter wedding photographs at Stowe House
I absolutely loved taking some creative wedding photographs at Stowe House at Steph and Will’s fantastic wedding! Steph and Will are literally the most amazing couple that every wedding photographer could wish for. It was a great pleasure to be a part of their big day and capture their wedding at Stowe House through my photographs.
Steph and Will booked their wedding with Stowe House for 23rd December and their wedding ceremony started at 2.30. This meant we would only have roughly 1 hour after the wedding ceremony before it was completely dark. As it was intermittently raining during the day, we were really lucky to do their confetti shot outside whilst the rain stopped for 5 minutes.
As it started to rain again, all the guests were then welcomed into the North Hall for the wedding drinks reception. The bride and Groom were then freely mingling, receiving all the congratulations, lots of hugs and kisses from their wedding guest.
As it stopped raining again, we sneaked out with the closest family for some ever-so-important family wedding portraits. I always try to get those completed as quickly as possible. Let’s be honest, nobody likes hanging around for hours and smiling for the camera. Our wedding family pictures were done in around 10 mins. At this point, it was getting quite dark so we had literally 10 minutes to capture the bride and groom’s wedding photos. We decided that The South Front Portico would be the best place to grab some amazing Stowe House Wedding photographs.
The garden entrance is such a picturesque place for all those bride and groom’s wedding photos.
Majestic Roman columns support the grand pediment with the wide stairs taking the wedding couple to Stowe house’s endless gardens.
At this point, it would have been great to capture some pictures of Stowe House’s amazing gardens but at this time of the year, it was not possible. Knowing this we planned ahead and arranged a pre-wedding photoshoot to take advantage of Stowe House’s 18th-century beautiful landscape garden with expanses of grass, framed by trees, temples, monuments and shrubs, reflected in tranquil stretches of rivers and lakes.

Are you planning your wedding at Stowe House, why not arrange a pre-wedding photoshoot within Stowe House
Stowe House offers exclusive venue hire for weddings, however..
..THERE IS A CATCH!
Stowe House is a beautiful, 18th-century grade 1 listed Buckinghamshire country house that is a functioning public school since 1923, which means Stowe House is offering wedding packages exclusively during the school holidays only. There is only a very limited number of weddings each year making it a truly special experience for every bride and groom who get to get married at this marvellous place.
If you are planning to get married in Buckinghamshire, Stowe House sits conveniently right in-between Oxford, Northampton and Milton Keynes, it is situated next to Buckingham and is easily reached from the A43 or A5.
Stowe house offers plenty of different rooms for the wedding ceremony
The Stowe House weddings can be held in the State Music Room, and Temple Room but the real jewel and the show stopper must be the Marble Saloon which is an oval-shaped room with a dome ceiling lined with columns, large statues and wall art that will leave the wedding guest speechless.

Steph and Will’s wedding ceremony was planned to be in the Music room as they wanted to keep the Marble saloon as a surprise to be revealed for the wedding breakfast. For their evening they moved to the Temple room which is right next to the Marble Saloon.

Stowe House is the wedding venue with endless beautifully landscaped gardens
For me, as a wedding photographer, Stowe House is the place of endless possibilities for creating the most amazing wedding photos. The photo opportunities to capture the beauty of this place don’t end just with the House itself.
Stowe house is surrounded by 880 acres of Stowe’s World famous National Trust landscaped gardens in Buckinghamshire.
Those gardens are managed by the National Trust and are open to over 200,000 visitors every year!
Perhaps the most famous part of the gardens is the Palladian Bridge which was used for the filming very popular Netflix series Bridgeton where we managed to snap some pictures during the pre-wedding photoshoot.
My favourite part of Stowe House for wedding photography is the rear stairs to the garden. I remember when I entered Stowe House for the first time, my creative mind was instantly blown away. If you check out my portfolio you’d definitely notice my passion for capturing all those interesting architectures within wedding venues.
