The Tythe Barn Launton, Rustic Autumn Wedding in Northamptonshire
Lauren and Conor’s Beautiful Wedding Day at Tythe Barn Launton.
The last wedding of 2019 at Tythe Barn in Launton Oxfordshire was an absolute stunner. Lauren and Conor were simply incredible to work for on their wedding day. Planning any wedding in the middle of November can be very unpredictable regarding the weather conditions. I have to say the day couldn’t be any better. Nice crisp day, followed by a fresh evening, and the night still warm enough to hang around the super cozy outdoor chimney.
The Story of Lauren and Conor
Why have you chosen The Tythe Barn to be your wedding venue?
We always knew we wanted a barn wedding but felt that some barns were a bit too rustic. When we first walked into Tythe Barn we knew straight away it was the one because it had the barn feel but was still warm and cozy.
Tell us how you first met? Who what when where why?
Conor is a mutual friend of my twin brother and my brother happened to show me a Snapchat that Conor had sent him and I thought to myself ‘who is that fitty’?! We’d met briefly years before so I already had him on Facebook and then drunkenly messaged him on a night out and then spent a month chatting online before meeting up and then the rest is history!
When did you know he/she was the one?
I think we both knew quite early on that this was it. We would spend entire weekends together and not tire of each other’s company. We both remember one weekend in particular where we just hung out all weekend, stayed in and got drunk together and made playlists on Spotify and for us that really cemented our relationship.
Tell us about the proposal.
We had been on a few holidays where I thought he might propose but he never did so I had given up trying to guess when it would happen. He had booked a surprise night away for my 27th birthday which was a mini trip to Geneva. We had an early flight and spent the first day sightseeing and then went out for dinner. I was really tired so said we should head back to the hotel but he was insistent we walk by the lake. As we were by the lake I went ahead to the edge and started to take photos of the city because it was all lit up for Christmas and then I turn around and there Conor is, on one knee and he asked me to marry him. It sounds like the most obvious plan but it took me completely by surprise! He was panicking because he’d had the ring engraved with that date but hadn’t found the right moment during the day and was running out of time. In the end, I think he picked the most perfect moment 🙂
