2022 WAS simply EPIC !!

My Best of wedding photography in 2022 post always makes me reflect on the previous year as a whole, and what an amazing year it was. 2022 was the first year after the pandemic without any restrictions. It was also my busiest year since I started my wedding photography business. Despite being a Northamptonshire-based wedding photographer I’ve traveled far and wide and covered 40 weddings of which 11 were in august alone, it was indeed a very busy year. Despite 690 000 steps done at the weddings, over 6000 miles driven in between the venues, one broken toe (which happen on the way to one of my weddings) 24 000 Airmiles flown with my family making precious memories … I am still standing, stronger than ever, ready for 2023.

So what was 2022 really about?

Looking at my favourite images 2022 looked almost like one big party, where people laughed more, hugged tighter, and partied harder! It’s been such a privilege to be a part of every single one of those weddings and if I could summarise my feelings into one word it would be “grateful”! And on that note, I’d like to take a little bit of time to express my gratitude.
I’m grateful that we’ve managed to get out of the pandemic and “almost” normality was restored..
I’m grateful for every couple who chose me to photograph their wedding allowing me to be a part of their big day..
I’m grateful that 90% of my bookings still come from word of mouth..and that’s why..
I’m grateful for all the wedding venues, wedding suppliers, previous couples and friends who are continuously supporting and recommending me..
I’m grateful for my health which allowed me to work ( and play) very hard..
I’m grateful for my girls and my family, as they kept me on my toes all year round, and created a home that I always look forward to coming back to after a long day at work.
I’m grateful for staying safe on my travels (and there were loads of it this year)..
….there’s definitely much more to be grateful for in 2022, but those are the main ones that relate to my business.
