WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY IN 2021 .. MIXED BAG REALLY !!
TO REFLECT ON 2021, WHO WOULD EVER SAY WHEN WE ALL CELEBRATED NEW YEAR’S EVE IN 2020 WE WILL BE STILL IN THE SAME SITUATION ONE YEAR LATER.
I remember our super crazy New Year celebration in 2020 when we all believed we are finally facing towards some sort of normality. With my 2021 season fully booked I was really looking forward to doing what I love the most, snapping away precious memories for all the super exciting wedding couples.
We all know now that 2021 didn’t actually turn out to be the year we had in our minds.
With the restrictions continuing throughout the first half of the year, the dream of returning back to work started to disappear. It was really devastating to deal with all those disappointed couples postponing their weddings for the first, second, and some even the third time! I felt so sorry for all of them. I always say wedding planning is almost as exciting as the wedding day itself, but how can one get excited with all that uncertainty in the air. It was almost impossible to plan anything during the last year.
Luckily, weddings, as we know them, could finally go ahead and as from the end of July, things got BUSY. It was absolutely amazing to be back in “the game” surrounded by all the amazing couples, their families, and friends celebrating good times. I’ve shot mini, micro, mega, garden, marquee, lake, stately, simple, lavish, and every other kind of wedding in-between in 2021, and I love and appreciated every single one.
I have to admit, I am a sucker for emotion, and when I saw a dancefloor full of shiny happy people dancing away I got a little tearful. It had just been so long since I’d seen people having a good time..it was simply magical.
Here’s a short slideshow to reflect on all those awesome weddings I was blessed to be a part of
